Integrative and Functional Health Care

The functional medicine approach seeks to identify and treat the root causes of your symptoms.  We take into account the different aspects of your life such as physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, social, and environmental influences. Your body and mind are evaluated as a whole, not as separate systems each to be addressed by fragmented specialty care. We understand that all aspects are interconnected, and if one area is damaged if affects the others. Therefore, we use a holistic lens when considering your health and healing.

Integrative medicine incorporates traditional Western medical practices, such as prescription medications, with what is sometimes considered “alternative” approaches, like nutrition, therapeutic diets, botanicals, supplements, acupuncture, and chiropractic medicine. Integrative medicine also emphasizes lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, sleep patterns, and stress management techniques. In functional medicine, there is no one-size-fits-all treatment. You are brought into the process and the treatment is tailored to your individual needs and desires.
